I have been 'training' for a while now...mostly trying improve my time...I started out walking more than running, and now it's quite the opposite. This particular race has a 3 hr max time. Even with a little bit if walking I should be fine, but I'm mostly worried about the soreness I will feel the next day...a work day.
I went fulltime at work a few weeks ago, and also got sick...not good for my running sessions!
I am looking forward to accomplishing a long awaited goal and taking in the beautiful scenery (not looking forward to the hills at the 6 mi mark and 11 mi mark)...a very scenic course with wine vineyards, horse farms, and some behind the scenes areas of the safari park...I'm thinking they should let a few animals loose to keep everyone moving! Could you imagine? I'm sure ill be needing some "fight or flight" motivation at the halfway mark.
I've been thinking of dressing up for the big day, but 'rhino-grey' doesn't suit my skin tone...
I've decided to represent my fellow lady lions and our dear Raf we lost not that long ago.
